Vanisha Mittal and Amit Bhatia topped the list of most expensive weddings with a £46 million price tag for their almost a week-long ceremony. Vanisha Mittal, the daughter of India’s richest man and one of the wealthiest people in the world, got married to her banker fiancé Amit in 2004.
More than 1,000 guests attended the wedding, who were sent silver-decorated invitations, and enjoyed a performance by none other than Kylie Minogue, who was paid around £25,000 to perform for half an hour.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19 2018.
Their wedding cost around £35.1 million. Policing the event and the streets was the biggest cost, to roughly £30 million .The honeymoon, flowers, food and drink are thought to have cost around £1 million.
Prince William and Kate Middleton
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey. Despite being next in line to the throne, the 37-year-old’s wedding cost less than his brother’s.
The majority of the budget went on security, with the Cambridge’s costing around £23.7 million to police. The budget for flowers, both fresh and artificial is thought to have come in at £800,000, with their two cakes costing £61,500 each.

With an estimated spend of £9.2 million, Petra, daughter of Formula One owner Bernie Ecclestone, tied the knot at Odescalchi Castle, which reportedly cost £310,000 to hire.
And the billionaire heiress also splashed out a whopping £2.6 million for The Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys and David Geutta to perform. Ah but they split up in 2018.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel also got married in Italy, with the popstar and actor tying the knot in Puglia in 2012. The couple booked the sprawling 63-room 28-villa luxury Borgo Egnazia Resort, accompanied with tight security, costing them around £770,000.
The hot couple, invited around 100 guests to spend a week with them at the resort, spending around £77,000 on entertainment.
